My interview with Michael Kokal for his End of the Road podcast is now up.

Michael will also be interviewing my wife Deniz Ozan-George about her role as a priestess of Lucumi, her experience with various types of divination, her artwork and upcoming exhibit at Galatea Fine Art, and her memories of playing drums with the all-girl, no-wave punk group Bound and Gagged.

Brian George is the author of five books of poetry and two books of essays, the first of which, Masks of Origin: Regression in the Service of Omnipotence, has just been published by Untimely Books. Other forthcoming titles include Voyage to a Nonexistent Home; X: Revenge of the Autogenes; Maps of the Metaphysical Double: In the Footprints of de Chirico; and The Preexistent Race Descends. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, an exhibited artist and former art teacher at several Boston area middle schools, a former member of the Boston Visionary Cell, and a former organizer for Evolver Boston. He was a founding member of MAAP SPACE, a multimedia performance series, as well as of the Revolving Arts Salon and the current Cedar Square Arts Salon. He often tells people first discovering his work that his goal is not so much to be read as to be reread, and then lived with. "Other is. Self must struggle to exist. Other must be reminded of the difference between life and death. Self must pay credit card bills, help child with homework, get up at 6 AM, hold job, and be conscientious in the care of others. Other records. Self is a shadow from a death-flash video projected backwards onto Earth. Other is so militantly pure that it has taken off its appearance; it throws its voice through a mask. Self barbarously branches. Other mounts the crackling electric vehicle of the self."
